If you are wondering what a pug is, then you are not alone. The word refers to a breed of dog that was said to have been brought to Europe from the east in the sixteenth century. There are ten symbols in the game and you will need to form a matching combination of the symbols to win a reward in the base game. The reward associated with landing a matching combination will depend on the value of the symbols involved in the combo. 

Of the ten symbols found in the game, five make the high value grid while five represent the low paying symbols of the game. As expected, the high value grid consists of symbols that align with the theme of the game (such as Chinese animal artefacts) while the low value grid consists of the usual playing card symbols. 

By now you are already wondering what role the pug plays in the game since it doesn’t seem to be listed as a regular symbol. Well, the pug is the wild symbol of the game which can replace other regula symbols to form winning combinations in the game. 

The game also comes with multiplier wilds which only occur in the second reel. When it shows up, you can expect rewards ranging from 2x to 4x your stake depending on the number that show on the reels. 

There’s also a scatter feature which is the key to activating the free spins round of the game.  

Bonus Feature 

To trigger the bonus round of the game, you will need to land five or more scatters on a specific segment of the reels in a single spin.
